The Disability Discrimination Act
The Disability Discrimination Act 1995 became law on October 1st 2004. The law makes it mandatory to provide a method of effective communication with those who are hearing impaired and use a hearing aid.
How does this affect you?
- It gives disabled people new rights in various areas including access to goods, facilities and services.
- Service providers have a legal duty to implement facilities that ensure the hearing impaired are not disadvantaged at any point where staff deal with the public.
What systems are available to meet your legal obligations?
- An easy and secure method is by installing an Infra-Red Listening System.
- An economic method is by installing an Induction Loop System.
ADSworldwide is a specialist provider of both Infra-Red Systems and Induction Loops so that, whatever your needs, we can help you satisfy the legal requirements at a competitive price. Click on the links below for further information.
