The Disability Discrimination Act 1995 requires that businesses or organisations providing face-to-face, verbal information should have an induction loop or other approved system fitted.  Not to do so may be seen as discriminating against those persons who are hearing impaired and may render you liable to prosecution.

Compliance with the legislation had to be completed by October1st 2004.
Many organisations, including the following, expect to be affected by this legislation:

          • Retail Premises
          • Educational Establishments
          • Public Buildings
          • Entertainment Venues
          • Leisure & Tourism Outlets
          • Churches
          • Conference Centres.

ADSworldwide is a specialist provider of induction loops and infra-red listening systems so that, whatever your needs (from a single domestic user to groups in large venues) we can help you satisfy the legal requirements at the lowest cost.

A basic induction loop system could comprise a loop amplifier, a microphone and a run of loop cable around a room.  Other loop systems may be more complex.  While an induction loop provides the most economic method of satisfying the Act, the simplest, most secure method  is by installing an infra-red listening system.  Whatever the requirements, it is important to undertake a survey of the site before specifying or installing any system.

Let us help you to comply with the Act and install an effective system at the best possible price.
