This stethoset-style receiver (95 kHz Low Band Frequency) can be used, for example, with any of the ADSworldwide infra-red transmitter modules (IRT-45, IRT-270 or IRT-730) by the hearing impaired in environments where a hearing aid will not work successfully. (The receiver can also be used with infra-red transmitters not supplied by ADSworldwide.)
To facilitate charging he receiver can be placed directly into the receiver port of an IRT-45 (or a BCH-03 or BCH-05 battery charger). Alternatively, the battery cell can be removed and placed into the battery port of an IRT-45 (or a BCH-03 or BCH-21 battery charger).
The cells are environmentally-friendly Nickel Metal-hydride batteries (BAT-01), which in normal use will provide about 6 hours of continuous use per charge and have a life-expectancy of up to 3 years.
Normally an exhausted battery would be fully re-charged after an overnight charge in the IRT-45 or a battery charger.
