David Hopkins OBE: 18th February 1936 – 15th August 2009
As many of our customers know, our Chairman, David Hopkins, has been bravely battling cancer for the past four years. He received some bad news a few weeks ago that the cancer had spread. He worked as usual up to last week but was then too unwell to continue at work. Sadly, David passed away on 15th August 2009. David made an impression on everyone he met. He rarely formed mere acquaintances - to meet him was to gain a friend, and he will be greatly missed. The business will continue to operate as usual. David's family will take over the ownership of the business, with John Houldcroft and David Telford joining the Board.
