The BT5 is a free-standing, self-powered, telephone interface connect unit to a Public Address system. (Approval Number S/2455/3/H/452969).
Connect the amplifier of your choice to your telephone system by plugging into an extension socket where a conventional telephone would be used.
When this extension is called the ringing current is detected and the BT5 will loop the line. An acknowledge tone is sent to the caller indicating that an announcement can now be conveyed to the Public Address system.
After the announcement is finished the BT5 will disconnect from the PA system and release the telephone extension ready to accept another paging call.
