Infra Red Listening & Hearing Systems

An infrared listening system is one of the simplest, most secure methods of satisfying the requirements of the hearing impaired and the legeslation intended to protect them. IR listening systems provide audio amplication to loops, hearing aids or via a headset maintaining security without overspill.

In using this receiver, hearing aid users are able to hear infra red transmissions clearly through thier hearing aids.

This small neck-loop receiver (2.3/2.8MHz High Band frequency) with integral neck loop can be used by anyone wearing a hearing aid in conjunctions with IRT45H infra-red transmitter modules. When a hearing aid is switched to inductive reception (often called the 'T' position) the received signal can be heard in mono through the hearing aid.

• Small neck-loop receiver (2.3/2.8MHz High Band frequency) with integral neck loop.
• Can be used by anyone wearing a hearing aid with, for example, any of the ADSworldwide infra-red transmitter modules (IRT-45H, IRT-M110 or IRT-M400).
• Neck loop fastener making it easier to put the neck loop on and reducing the risk of accidents while the neck loop is being worn.
• Integral jack socket to allow accepted hearing devices (such as ordinary headphones) to be plugged in for use by those with normal hearing.
• Can be placed directly into the transmitter cradle on the IRT-45H to recharge its battery cell, or the battery cell can be removed from the receiver and placed into the side of the IRT-45H transmitter or into a port on the BCH-12 battery charger.
• Cells are environmentally-friendly Nickel Metal-hydride batteries, which in normal use will provide several hours of continuous use per charge and have a long life-expectancy.
• Normally an exhausted battery cell would be fully re-charged after an overnight charge in the battery charger.
• Please Note: Infra-red receivers operating in the low band (95kHz and 250kHz) can suffer from fluorescent lighting interference. In cases where high frequency fluorescent and/or incandescent lighting are used (this includes modern energy-saving lamps) the infra-red signal may become unusable. In these cases use the high frequency infra-red systems operating above 2MHz.
