Our infra-red systems, of varying output power, are designed for use in the home, at reception and counter areas, for committee and conference venues, in care homes, churches and other places of worship, schools, colleges and other educational establishments, halls, leisure centres and in larger complexes.

The IRT-270 Transmitter is a medium-size room, infra-red, low band or high band (95/250 kHz or 2.3 /2.8 MHz, switchable) transmitter, complete with power supply unit and wall-mount bracket. It is designed for rooms up to approximately 270m2. The unit is equipped with a 1/4" threaded mounting hole and can be screwed to a photographic tripod stand for portable use, or it can be wall-mounted with the supplied mounting bracket. The transmitter is for use with suitable receiver modules to be purchased separately.

ADSworldwide offers a number of options to accommodate both increased room size and different room configurations. Please contact our technical staff for the best solution applicable to your specific needs, but for example: the IRT-730 is a transmitter designed for larger rooms up to 730m2; several IRT-270 transmitters can be daisy-chained for room configurations larger than 270m2; a Repeater Panel (IRT-730-R) covering up to 730m2 can be used in conjunction with either the IRT-270 transmitter or the IRT-730 transmitter.

Please Note: Infra-red receivers operating in the low band (95kHz and 250kHz) can suffer from fluorescent lighting interference. In cases where high frequency fluorescent and/or incandescent lighting are used (this includes modern energy-saving lamps) the infra-red signal may become unusable. In these cases use the high frequency infra-red systems operating above 2MHz.
